About the role
As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with the Lead/Principal Engineer to design, deploy and maintain the company infrastructure on AWS. You will be responsible to ensure the availability of our Production environment. You'll also be expected to helping out engineers during development and share your infra knowledge to the team.
This role requires advanced knowledge of serverless architectures including (but not limited to) AWS services: ECS Fargate, Lambda, API-GW, SNS/SQS, S3 and RDS Aurora. Familiarity and understanding of security best practices within the payment industry. The ideal candidate will also design solutions utilizing AWS services, write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documents.
You will…
- Set up, deploy, monitor and maintain our AWS serverless architecture.
- Create and manage CI-CD pipelines on CircleCI and Github Actions, ensuring consistent and reliable delivery of our services.
- Write infrastructure as code (IAC) efficiently and effectively using Cloud Formation and Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
- Ensure the security of our systems by adhering to industry best practices.
- Conduct performance test, disaster recovery test for our services and infrastructure.
- Design innovative solutions using AWS services and open-source 3rd party software.
- Adopt tools/CLI to help engineers with software development.
- Produce in-depth technical documents related to DevSecOps and present it to Engineering team.
Skills we would love to see
- Understand AWS services and write CFN and CDK (Typescript) to deploy these services.
- Know how to setup monitoring, tracing, logging, metrics for applications and infrastructure.
- Know Github Action, CircleCI, Bash script, Dockerfile, docker-compose, yaml
- Known security best practices within the payment industry
Nice to have
- Can write Python script, Ansible playbook, Makefile
- Can do software development with nodejs/Typescript
- Can describe API Specs with Swagger and use Postman to test APIs
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experiences as a Senior DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience.
- Very good understanding of Amazon Web Service and modern architectural patterns.
- Effective written/oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
