About the role
We are looking for a passionate architect/engineering manager to join our early team. You will work closely with the leadership team, define the product and technology together, and have a lot of room for growth and flexibility.
You will…
- Own ideas from inception to execution.
- Work directly with founders to define the product and engineering roadmap.
- Design and implement backend functionality, architecture, and more. You get to work independently and be self-directed and deliver innovative solutions.
- Pave the way for the company to scale to millions of transactions and power digital commerce flows uniquely.
- Architect and implement infrastructure for performance, reliability and scalability.
- Mentor and lead team towards best SDLC practices.
- Design and implement automation across various development and release phases, such as CI/CD, code review & analysis, QA and deployment etc.
Skills we would love to see
- You have built backend products preferably in the B2B space that have scaled.
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or its equivalent related experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant development experience.
- Experience leading/building a team.
- Has built and owned multiple modules and services in one of your roles.
- We use the following technologies. Experience in the following areas is preferred.
- Effective written/oral communication skills and ability to communicate ideas effectively to a corporate audience and excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working with backend products that have scaled preferably in the B2B space.
- Experience with Microservice architecture.
- Experience with large-scale distributed applications.
- Experience in payments (acquiring, issuing, digital wallets, remittances).
- Experience working with API frameworks such as Django, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS/Express.
